Nov Blog 3

First of all I would really like to thank you for giving me a chance to stay in your class and try to raise my grade. I really appreciate the fact that you haven't given up on me and are still helping me to become a better writer and keeping open the opportunity of success for me. My current mission is to raise my grade and to learn as much information as I can . To take advantage of the opportunities you have given me. I will try to make up any missing vocab test I have not completed and do a T.W. I didn't do. Even astonishing to myself , I have learned alot in your class. I thought we would learn very advanced things but it seems fair for the grade we are in. The only reason my grade is low is because I have alot of missing work. Before I was in your class I didn't know how to write an introduction or what were rhetorical elements or any of topics we have learned so far. What I really think that helps are the vocabulary we get and the grammar work sheets helped me in my writing.

What I like about learning in your class is how I can use what I learn and employ it on every day outside and inside school assignments. What I have personally felt is a sort of awe towards me from my family. Before my dad didn't believe I would graduate from High school since I was following the wrong steps. But now I can prove him wrong by showing him how much I can really do. Not to sound like ''hes such a good boy'' or anything but I was directing my attention towards wrong things and becoming someone I wasn't. For example another brick in the wall. I was following the norms of my race and following the steps of my heritage to becoming a ''Gangster'' Until one day I decided to break that stereotype and divert my attention towards education so my younger siblings would not follow the dark path I lay for them. Now they can follow ''Th Road Less Taken'' and follow me into the luminosity of higher education which I learned to prioritise in your class.Now I'm not only learning for my self but for my siblings as well.
PS: I really like how you include songs in your examples. I also like listening to Iron Maiden, The police, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and The rolling stones, AC/DC and my favorite Van Halen plus many more. We should analyze Another Brick in The Wall for a blog assignment. It has a lot of meaning besides the title.

The Lottery.

In the short story'' The lottery'' by Shirley Jackson the argument is that people choose to follow the others and ignore the bad situations in life. Also that people have to stand up against the wrong norms of society in order to not fall prisoners of evil.

In the news I read about California's death penalty. I found out that the people who decide if the convict lives or dies are regular people in the jury who might be biased and rule subjectively due to their belief.

In TJ when a person is murdered the witness decide not to say anything about what they saw. They follow the crowed by not speaking or saying the saw nothing. But all it takes is for someone to admit they saw something for the others will gain courage and say what they saw too.

If the argument was expository instead of fictional then the reader would get a harder better impression of the topic. They would feel more serious to what the writing argues and would probably have more importance to everyday people.

Conservatism VS Liberism.

In our country there is Liberists and conservatives. Liberism is people who share a bekief in change. They beleive that medicare and social security are needed. Liberist believe there should be change and support many new ideas. There are diffrent kinds of liberism. For example Conservative liberism and radical liberism.Liberisms has has ideals that preserve the freedom of individuals. While conservatism believes that traditional practices should prevail while new ideas should not be followed unless they follow norms. Conservatives follow many branches from green conservatism to religous conservatism. The main idea behind all of these conservatists is that the governtment should have little interaction with the people.

Liberism-Don't get me wrong, Bruce Springsteen is usually a staple at Democratic events in America, so I'm used to hearing the strands of songs like "Born to Run" blaring out of speakers at campaign events or health care forums back home. {http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/11/16/obama.town.hall/index.html}

Conservatism- He left out, however, the festering conflict between China and Tibet
